The lens you choose is often more important than the camera you use.
Fisheye lenses are not something you'll use every day. Nevertheless, the results you can produce with them can be quite exquisite. With a focal length of about 8mm, a fisheye captures more of a scene than an ultra wide-angle lens. Images appear to be round, drastically altering what you see with the naked eye. Seemingly limited only by your imagination, these playful lenses are great fun to experiment with.
Whether you enjoy photographing landscapes, people, sports, or even animals, a fisheye is a terrific way to explore a completely different look. If you're interested in trying this without investing money in a new lens, consider renting one. Many camera stores offer special weekend rates.
