We are proud to announce our new NYIP Photography Blog featuring industry leading content and tips. Having just celebrated the school's 100 year anniversary, NYIP draws on a rich history of training photographers from all over the world. The blog features a wide variety of fresh content designed to help photographers of all skill levels reach their goals. There's even a roundup of current photo contests seeking submissions.
Whether it's an informative piece on how much to charge a client, an inspirational video about photographing big cats in Africa, or a look into recent camera trends, this blog has something for everyone. Contributing authors include NYIP Student Advisor Chris Corradino who specializes in Nature, Photojournalism, and Multimedia. As the owner/operator of his photography LLC in New York, Chris understands the unique challenges facing photographers today. "With the proper guidance, these challenges can become opportunity. This blog is a fun, interactive way to take your photography to the next level," says Chris.
There will also be posts from several NYIP staff members including the Dean of the School, Chuck DeLaney. "In today's world, people are looking for ways to consume content that is not only helpful and informative, but quick and easy to read," remarks Mr. DeLaney, "the blog allows us to present our material in a fun and viral way."
NYIP has historically led the way in free photography tips and guidelines offered online. You can follow along with the new blog by subscribing to the feed at NYIP Photo Articles. The Photo Blog is part of a larger attempt to deliver content and a sense of community to both students and non-students seeking quality photographic news and advice. The school encourages open dialogue with its readers by sharing and discussing content via Facebook, Twitter, Blog comments, and Forums.
